Our Colorado Trip

Laura Joan loves her new family. As you can see she and Uncle Andy hit it off great. She loved playing on his lap and he just doted on her just like Granny and Papaw. She steals your heart with her wonderful smile and joyful personality.


We all loved riding on the four wheelers. Andy, Mark and I took the four wheelers up Moffett Tunnel Road. Where the trains used to run before the Moffett Tunnel was built. We found a letterbox, saw some georgeous country. We even looked over the Continental Divide.

This was at the very top of the pass in Rocky Mountain National Park. It was about 11,000 to 12,000 feet up. It was very cold even in August. There was patches of snow and it was beautiful. We were so high up that my mom was dizzy and did not want to get out of the car. We could see herds of elk grazing below us, as we came down the mountain we got to see some of these elk close up. It was truly awesome.



Wildlife was every where we went in Colorado. My brother, nephew and I even saw a bear but he was too fast for me to get a picture.

Our Wonderful driver- He was very nice and funny - I have forgotten his name already.


This is the chuck wagon they cooked our meal ate, then we ate at picknic tables. It was like camping without the trouble of cooking it yourself. It was fun.







Carson got to do this bunge bouncing at the Winter Park Resort area. Chris, Carson Andy, Mark and I also did the alpine sleiding down the mountain. It was so much fun. Carson and I were afraid at first but we did it and loved it.

Our Colorado Trip

Laura Joan and Carson did really great on the flight to Denver. We all had fun especially our precious Laura. She is happy most all the time.




This is the fox that kept coming right up to our back porch to get food. Of course Papaw and all the kids had to feed her. I was afraid but not Carson and Laura Joan. Laura wanted to chase her and pet her. We had to hold her back and try to keep her quite. It was quite funny.


Chris and I made it to the top of the Mountain and Winter Park. Well OK we didn't hike we took the ski lift.
My mom and step dad (Papaw) made it too. We had a great family reunion.

2007 First Days of School

Laura Joan's first day of School. July 31st. she started a Parents Day Out program 2 days a week. Mommy is loving it.

Carson started Kindergarten August 2nd. He only goes til noon. Laura Joan goes til 2:30 p.m.
I drop Carson off around 7:50 a.m. This is the earliest we have ever had to be anywhere so it is taking some getting used to.

July Family Events

This is the day Carson learned to ride his bicycle without the training wheels. He would not give up. He was still falling alittle by the end of the day and utterly exhausted. I had to make him come in and eat and rest. We thought he was doing great but he was not satisfied with his progress and asked his Dad to put his training wheels back on. So the next day Chris did but put them on uneven so Carson would have to balance more. By the next day Carson wanted them off again just like Chris knew he would and he has been riding perfect since.
Way to go Carson!

Our Little Townhouse

Meet one of our little neighbor friends (there are a lot of kids around) Kayla. She is 11 yrs old and loves Laura Joan of course. Kayla has an 8 year old brother Cole who Carson shadows as much as he can. I am the stay at home mom where the kids come to get refreshed with water, snacks, potty breaks and playtime with Laura Joan.


This is our little porch, which I just love.
This is our view from our back porch. The yard is huge and the pool is really close too. We are loving this part of the townhouse.

This is the kids room - see the mess. We have no place to put things up away from our precious little-busy hands. We bought Carson a bunk bed since the apartment only has 2 bedrooms. We put Laura Joan's crib in storage and she is sleeping on the futon part of this bunk bed. She is loving it, Mommy is not. We have no curtains so everyone is getting up early. God is training us for when Carson starts school August 1st and has to be there by 8:00 am.

We are really glad we put our regular size sofa in storage and only brought our love seat and little rocking chair.



In this picture above I am standing at the sliding glass door looking towards the front door. On the right side just after the lamps is the laundry closet.


This is the pantry I went and bought at Wal-mart as soon as we moved in. It fit perfect.


This is our little kitchen. We have no ice maker and no garbage disposal and I have truly been ok with this. God is humbling us and teaching us to be content in all circumstances. We will all really appreciate our new home.
