Moving into the New House

Our new neighbors unexpectedly helped us move the stuff from the apartment into the new house late Saturday evening.

Open House and Prayer Dedication

Saturday evening before moving in Mike (our builder) had an open house and prayer dedication of the house. We praised God together for completing the house and for the money raised to build churches and pastoral leadership in Africa. It was such an honor to be a part of such great work God is doing.




This is Mike Roach our builder and his brother. They laid our wood floor together and did a lot of the work themselves. A lot of people that worked on the house donated their time so that Mike's organization could donate the profit from the house to a mission in Africa to build churches.

Closing and Moving

This was the gang at our closing on the new house, from right to left; Julie Reynolds (our realtor) Me and Chris, Mike's Realtor, Mike and Michelle Roach, Our banker is the tall man in the back.



The guys from our new church who helped us move out of our apartment. Praise God for brothers in Christ!

Carson's First Karate Belt Test

Carson had to do alot of different kicks and moves to pass his belt test. It was challenging for him and exciting for mom and dad.

Laura Joan's Gotcha Day

Laura Joan has been an official member of the Mahler family for 1 year now. She has captured our hearts and given us so much love. God has blessed us abundently and is keeping us young through her.

Carson Turns 6

We celebrated Carson's birthday a day early so we could go to the Knoxville Fair on his birthday. Carson had a blast making a cookie cake for his school friends to celebrate with him. Aunt Leslie came over for dinner and cake, and a good time was had by all.

Colorado Trip Continued

The sign about Rollins Pass - see how high we were 11, 660 feet. No words can explain how high a beautiful it was.

This is Rollins Pass - it is amazing to think about trains transporting people up and around this mountain up so high and on this little wooden thing. It is hanging over the continental divide. Gas pipe lines are still in use providing gas to all the people below.

Our Colorado Trip

Laura Joan loves her new family. As you can see she and Uncle Andy hit it off great. She loved playing on his lap and he just doted on her just like Granny and Papaw. She steals your heart with her wonderful smile and joyful personality.


We all loved riding on the four wheelers. Andy, Mark and I took the four wheelers up Moffett Tunnel Road. Where the trains used to run before the Moffett Tunnel was built. We found a letterbox, saw some georgeous country. We even looked over the Continental Divide.

This was at the very top of the pass in Rocky Mountain National Park. It was about 11,000 to 12,000 feet up. It was very cold even in August. There was patches of snow and it was beautiful. We were so high up that my mom was dizzy and did not want to get out of the car. We could see herds of elk grazing below us, as we came down the mountain we got to see some of these elk close up. It was truly awesome.



Wildlife was every where we went in Colorado. My brother, nephew and I even saw a bear but he was too fast for me to get a picture.





This is my (Evelyn's) entire family. We are at horse stables getting ready to have a dinner ride.

Our Wonderful driver- He was very nice and funny - I have forgotten his name already.


This is the chuck wagon they cooked our meal ate, then we ate at picknic tables. It was like camping without the trouble of cooking it yourself. It was fun.







Carson got to do this bunge bouncing at the Winter Park Resort area. Chris, Carson Andy, Mark and I also did the alpine sleiding down the mountain. It was so much fun. Carson and I were afraid at first but we did it and loved it.
